Showcase Your Work

As part of our role as a broker of change, we showcase granting opportunities so our community of givers can be inspired to support initiatives that are aligned with their interests.

You are invited to showcase your social change initiative provided you fulfil the criteria set out in the ‘What You Need’ section below. Please read this information in full before submitting a proposal or contacting the team.

What You Need

The applying organisation must be a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission. Check if your organisation is registered here: acnc.gov.au/charity

  • The funding proposal submitted must be for activities in line with your organisation’s charitable purpose.
  • Your organisation must be based in Australia, or have an Australian auspice partner. Learn more about auspice arrangments at http://nfplaw.org.au/auspicing.
  • Organisations can submit a maximum of two proposals to the site per calendar year.
  • Where organisations provide an auspice for a third party, the third party can submit a maximum of two proposals per calendar year via the auspice arrangement in addition to the two proposals submitted by the auspicing party.
  • The average grant awarded is between $2,000 and $15,000. Please keep this in mind when entering in the amount you are seeking from Australian Communities Foundation.

What Happens Next

Once you’ve completed your application, we’ll review your proposal and notify you of the outcome. Approved proposals are posted to our Granting Opportunities showcase.

  • Submitting a funding proposal means you are consenting to us publishing it publicly.
  • Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation and copy of your proposal to the email address provided in the contact information section of the form.
  • You will receive an email to this same email address notifying you of the outcome once your proposal has been reviewed.
  • The team will endeavor to review your proposal within seven days of the submission date. This may take slightly longer during busy periods.
  • The team reserves the right to reject any proposal that does not align with the values of Australian Communities Foundation or the eligibility criteria outlined in the ‘What You Need’ section of this page.
  • We will contact you if a donor is interested in your project. If we do not contact you, this means your project has not yet received donor interest.
  • Please inform us as soon as your funding requirements change (e.g. if you have received funding from another source) so we can amend your proposal details to reflect the most up-to-date information.
  • Proposals will remain live for a period of three months, or until fully funded, whichever occurs sooner.
