Donors can request to establish sub-funds in any of the trust funds operated and managed by Australian Communities Foundation which can be named for a cause or after a donor.
The sub-funds operate as management accounts for the purpose of tracking donations and grants attributed to a donor or a cause.
Sub-funds are not separate to the other money in the trust fund.
All funds are pooled for investments purposes.
Each sub-fund is allocated units within the Trust Fund and all income and capital is attributed to each fund in units.
How to set up a Sub-fund
It is very simple to set up a sub-fund.
Donors can request to establish a sub-fund by completing an establishment form and making an initial donation. Australian Communities Foundation accepts initial donations of as little as $20,000 with no upper limit.
All applications for sub-funds are approved by the Board.
Once approved the donor receives a confirmation letter that the sub-fund has been established including a receipt and signed copy of the establishment form and details on how to access 'Donor Central'.
